Echoes from Home
Narrative Short — Drama /dir. Barathi Subramaniam

In a quiet sculpture park, two Indian men—one newly arrived and lonely, the other quietly nostalgic—wander alone, lost in thought. When one plays a familiar Indian song through a Bluetooth speaker, the music cuts through the silence. The other hears it, follows the sound, and finds its source. In that quiet moment, music bridges their solitude—connecting two strangers through the shared memory of home.

Scripted Pain
Documentary Short — Personal Journey /dir. Barathi Subramaniam

Scripted Pain is a short documentary that challenges the misconception that professional wrestling is “fake.” Centered on the personal story of wrestler Amir Jordan, the film explores the physical and emotional toll of a scripted sport performed with real bodies. Through intimate interviews, medical imagery, archival footage, and supporting testimonies from other wrestlers, the documentary reveals the unseen consequences of life inside the ring. As Amir reflects on injury, identity, and resilience, the film reframes wrestling not as illusion, but as performance built on real pain and real sacrifice.

CREWING & CASTING

Get involved in one of these productions.

We're reviewing cast and crew through the Talent Network — that's the fastest way onto the radar for this production and the next.

ABOUT

From a grassroots
idea to a slate.

Untitled Filmmakers Club is two things at once: a production company making its own slate of narrative and documentary shorts, and a filmmaking community connecting cast and crew across West Yorkshire. Founded in February 2025 as a grassroots initiative, it's grown into both — nine shorts completed so far, two more in the works, made by a growing regional network of collaborators.

Where we operate

  • West Yorkshire-based, founded February 2025.
  • Regional network of cast and crew, not a fixed studio.
  • Current production shooting in Bradford, August 2026.

How we work

  • Collective Slate — shared productions, not solo projects. The Club comes together to make good scripts happen.
  • We've Got Your Back — members pool gear, locations, and know-how across productions.
  • Peer Workshops — monthly meetings, table reads, workshops, and networking events.

What's next

  • Straw Back shooting August 2026 — casting underway.
  • Gilded Game and The Truth in development — open to expressions of interest.

THE TEAM

Who's behind it

Barathi produces across the whole slate. Anyone with a good script can come forward to direct it — and if you've only got the script, the Club will help find a director to bring it to screen. Tap a photo for a short bio.
